ACS FUNdraising App
In 2015, the American Cancer Society relied on three separate fundraising apps, creating a fragmented experience that limited engagement and revenue growth. In 2016, I led the UI design effort for an in-house initiative to unify these tools into a single, streamlined fundraising app. During its first fundraising season, the new app generated $9.1 million in donations—up from $5 million the previous year. It also delivered outstanding engagement metrics, including over 1 million sessions (a 500% improvement over the previous apps), 96,000 downloads, 70,000 active users, and an average 4 minutes of time spent per session. The American Cancer Society went on to win the 2016 Mobile Marketing Organization Award for Best Public Service / Nonprofit Product.

The DNA remains.
The American Cancer Society’s FUNdraising mobile app went through an update after my departure but pieces of the original app design remained in the app, like the donation tracker. This circle component allows for users to see their goal and the amount they have raised all in one place.
