Crafting digital experiences that captivate and inspire since the year 2K.
T-Mobile Design System
In February of 2022, T-Mobile was starting their journey into a digital transformation and modernization strategy. I was hired to work specifically on a team that was leading the charge on T-Mobile’s first cross-platform design system. This design system would be the base for other products and brands within the T-Mobile ecosystem. It was a big lift, with impact at an enterprise scale for over 100 million customers and several internal teams.

Uncovering gaps and opportunities in core UI components through discovery.
Within my first few weeks at T-Mobile, I partnered closely with developers, designers, and product owners to understand how core UI components were being used in practice. Through targeted interviews and reviews, I uncovered gaps, inconsistencies, and constraints within the existing design system, strengthening the foundation for informed discovery and component improvements.
Pushing the right buttons
An in-depth review of the button implementation on the T-Mobile website uncovered critical accessibility gaps and inconsistent design patterns. All findings were thoroughly documented to guide future enhancements.

Unifying the list experience
Explored and documented list components across web, Android, and iOS, establishing best practices for accessibility, interaction models, and consistent user experience while honoring native platform conventions.

Uncovering challenges and turning insights into scalable components and clear system standards.
After completing discovery, I transformed research insights into both low and high-fidelity components grounded in core system principles. Each deliverable was paired with clear documentation for interaction, usage, and accessibility, empowering teams to adopt and implement solutions consistently across the product.
Sample of button component design & documentation
I led the design of the button component, establishing a clear hierarchy and defining precise anatomy for primary, secondary, and tertiary variants. Each interactive state was thoroughly documented across light and dark themes, ensuring accessibility and consistent user experiences on every platform.

Sample of list component design & documentation
I defined the list item’s anatomy and interaction models with precision, ensuring visual consistency and platform-appropriate behavior across Web and iOS. The documentation details key elements—such as media and icon placement, configuration options, and best practices—empowering development teams to deliver accessible, cohesive experiences.

Key Points & Takeaways
As part of T-Mobile’s first cross-platform design system team, I helped create scalable, accessible components and clear documentation for products serving over 100 million customers. This work enabled consistent, high-quality experiences across the entire ecosystem.
